If you have been struggling with a situation and can’t seem to find peace in your situation, Here are 5 Ways to Let Go and Let God:
Stop Trying to figure it out –
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.“ – Proverbs 3:5-6
This is one of the most popular and most quoted book in the Bible, however, when we find ourselves going through trying times (I will speak for myself), I tend to forget all about this scripture. The Lord tells us clearly not to lean (stand on) our own understanding.
Why? Because “…Our thoughts are not God’s thoughts, Nor are our ways His ways,” – Isaiah 55:8 .
God knows exactly what He is doing and as Christians we should be able to trust Him no matter how grim the situation may look. Remember Lazarus was dead for days but he still arose at the voice of God. Your situation can do the same thing when you trust the hand and heart of God.
Cast it to God –
“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
I have a bad habit of praying and then asking myself “what should I do”. When you are so used to being in control it’s hard to let something go. The word cast means to simply “release”. When you cast your cares, you are releasing it from your hands (your ability and strength) to God’s hands with omnipotent power.
When you understand how much God loves and cares for you, then you will have no problem letting it go because you know it’s in more than capable hands.
